Seed Damage Test for Roller-Type Device Designed at Different Flute Helical Angles

Abstract. The crop producers who cannot buy a second planter due to its cost, have been seeking take advantage of the with roller-type metering device in dry bean sowing. While seemingly adequate for sowing, if roller structural properties and operating parameters suitable seed dimensions are not used, it can cause an increase damage ratio. In this text, mission was undertaken determine damaged ratio caused by under influence flute diameter helical angle, ground speed, seeding rate. Seed measured collecting weighing from each replication during flow. Flute (18, 20, 22 mm), angle (0, 10, 20o), speed (1.0, 1.5, 2.0 m s-1), rate (100, 150, 200 kg ha-1) independent variables were selected as dependent variable, measure level. According results, definitely affects rate, while quite affected. reduced lowest values obtained at ha-1 2 s-1 forward mm groove diameter, 20o angle.
